Sarah Reed (European Method)
Sarah is a mother of three and a lawyer at a venture capital firm who claims to maintain her sanity only through vigorous exercise. Sarah is a marathon runner who taught at number of fitness clubs. Sarah’s unique class, the European Method, is precise and challenging.

Barbara Benagh
Barbara Benagh, a fixture on the Boston yoga scene since 1980, has practiced and taught yoga for nearly 35 years. She discovered yoga while living in England and began teaching there. She moved to Boston and opened The Yoga Studio on Beacon Hill in 1980. In 2005, Barbara moved The Yoga Studio to the Charles River Institute in Central Square, Cambridge.

In addition to her local classes, Barbara teaches yoga seminars throughout the US and internationally. She is a regular contributor of articles to Yoga Journal magazine. She has several audio CDs of live classes available as well as DVDs, the latest being Yoga for Beginners released by Body + Soul magazine and Yoga for Stress Relief that includes a discussion on meditation from the Dalai Lama.

Louise Colby
Louise Colby has taught Lyengar Yoga since being certified in that method in 1993. She has studlied with the Lyengars in India several times and continues to refine her studies. Louise also teaches at Wellesley college. Louise has a loyal following who appreciates her personal attention and knowledge of the anatomical details of postures.

Sarah Johnson
Sarah began studying yoga a decade ago as an undergraduate dance student. Her yoga practice has helped to support and ground her during her career transitions as a dancer in NYC to teaching as a NYC Teaching fellow in a Bronx public school and completing her MS at Fordham University. She values the journey the yoga practice challenges her to take in her internal life and the world. Now, as a yoga teacher, Sarah hopes to fulfill, even minutely, the role as modeled by many of her amazing teachers. Sarah recently completed a 500 hour yoga teacher certification with her influential teacher, Barbara Benagh. She also holds an advanced teacher certification with Cindy Lee's OM Yoga.

Kathleen Anderson
Boston-based and Kripalu-certified Anderson is an accomplished, thoughtful teacher with a quiet, soothing manner. She has been practicing yoga since she was fifteen years old, studying with well-known teachers, and teaching herself. A student of Hatha Yoga for 29 years, including 15 years in Kripalu Yoga and 17 years in Iyengar Yoga. She is a:

  • Yoga Instructor Training through B.K.S. Iyengar, Somerville, Massachusetts with Patricia Walden 1996-1998
  • Certified Yoga Instructor through Yoga Vidya Niketan, Bombay, India with Shri Sadashiv Nimbalkar 1995
